چکیده

Amit Keren, Henri Alloul, Philippe Mendels, and Yohsuke Yoshinari* Laboratoire de Physique des Solides, URA2 CNRS, Université Paris Sud, 91405 Orsay, France (Received 9 October 1996) NMR transverse relaxation (TR) measurements of 17Os2, 3d in YBa2Cu3sO12cOcd7 are presented. A Gaussian-like relaxation is found. The origin of this relaxation is investigated by varying c, the temperature, the external field, and by comparing it with the 17Os4d site. Our results are consistent with a model in which this relaxation is caused by the dynamical fluctuation of copper nuclei, including both spin-lattice and flip-flop processes. With this model we can also explain the TR of 89Y and 63Cus1d. We use our results to reanalyze previous NMR 63Cus2d TR data and find the dynamical exponent z 1. [S0031-9007(97)02758-0]

Probing the Electronic Structure of Y - B a - C u - O Superconductors by Copper NQR/NMR

The paper discusses some N Q R / N M R studies performed on Y B a C u O superconductors at the University of Zürich. It is shown how the resonance methods can yield information on electronic properties of quite different character. The review deals with: (1) the temperature and pressure dependence of Cu N Q R frequencies in YBa 2 Cu 4 O g (1-2-4); (2) an NQR study of the properties of Ca substi...

Molecular Reorientation of Methanol in Mixtures with Carbon Tetrachloride

Proton and oxygen-17 nmr relaxation rates of C D 3 1 7 O H as well as deuteron nmr relaxation rates of C H 3 O D were measured in mixtures with carbon tetrachloride at different compositions and temperatures. By varying the 1 0-content different contributions to the proton relaxation rate could be separated and from the 1 7 0 H dipolar interaction contribution the correlation time of the O H bo...

(31)P NMR study of Na(2)CuP(2)O(7): an S = 1/2 two dimensional Heisenberg antiferromagnetic system.

The magnetic properties of Na(2)CuP(2)O(7) were investigated by means of (31)P nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), magnetic susceptibility, and heat capacity measurements. We report the (31)P NMR shift, the spin-lattice [Formula: see text], and spin-spin (1/T(2)) relaxation rate data as a function of temperature T. The temperature dependence of the NMR shift K(T) is well described by the S = 1/2 ...

A solid-state (17)O nuclear magnetic resonance study of nucleic acid bases.

We report a systematic solid-state (17)O NMR study of free nucleic acid bases: thymine (T), uracil (U), cytosine (C), and guanine (G). Site-specifically (17)O-enriched samples were synthesized:[2-(17)O]thymine (1), [4-(17)O]thymine (2), [2-(17)O]uracil (3), [4-(17)O]uracil (4), [2-(17)O]cytosine (5), and [6-(17)O]guanine monohydrate (6). Magic-angle-spinning (MAS) and static (17)O NMR spectra w...

Cu - NMR Study in High

The 6 3 Cu nuclear transverse relaxation rates have been measured in the normal state on both square and pyramidal C u 0 2 planes in HgBa 2 Ca 2 Cu 3 O s + 8 with Tc = 133 K. The Gaussian component of the spin-echo decay rate, (1/T2G), for both sites increases with decreasing temperature, followed by a peak around T* ~ 150 K, indicating that the spin correlation becomes stronger with decreasing...
